Has anyone else's immune systems started sucking...
I used to get sick about twice a year. No biggie. But since last March I’ve literally gotten sick every other month. And I’m coming down with a cold right now. The last time I had one was the day we got Olive a month ago.
But I don’t understand!? I eat well, spend gobs of time outdoors and take vitamins… gahhhhhhh….

Another uninspired work out...
I’m totally in a fitness rut. I blame having to go to work a million hours a week, but basically after the shin splints (and having to stop running) I just haven’t been into anything at the gym. Met with my trainer today and couldn’t stop watching the clock!
I see a few possible solutions:
Take a break for a week (tried this last week and it made it worse)
Start doing yoga...

Just two more days...
Made huge progress with the mural which is nice. Gonna put in some serious time today and work Friday until its done. I’ll post progress photos today if I can remember.
But, alas:
no food in my house (due to insane work sched) = eating out every meal
haven’t been to the gym since Friday
not calorie counting but still making the healthiest choices / small portions

Goodbye sanity...
Big mural commission = working 8am-9pm every day between now and Friday. Signed up Olive at doggie daycamp yesterday because of how insane I’m expecting this week to be.
No gym, limited control over calories, no walking the dogs.
I’ll see you all when I reemerge over the weekend.

Very Good (Health & Love) Things
I need to remind myself of some very good things going on right now to stay positive. I’ve spent 80% of the past few days crying or raging mad. The rest of the time was just neutral.
Bought a size 14 dress today! Meaning that after over a year of no longer being able to fit into stuff from most store clothes, there is now a size larger than what I wear!

Ohhhh… I really need to start taking more time to work on the relationships in my life. Deciding to cut down on all my internet time is helpful, but I really need to focus a helluvalot more on the people I love. I’m sucking pretty hard in the friendship category right now.

Thanks for all of your lovely comment and answers :) I agree it sounds like shin splints or even just exhausted muscles, which unfortunately means ice and rest either way!
Gonna talk to my trainer today and see what she thinks. Maybe hit a running store in a few weeks and get different shoes too. I looove my Nikes so I’ll probably just keep them for when I’m lifting or walking. <3
