A quick list of things I love and have helped me get fit :)
Big Sky Fitness - My gym! It’s a tiny three-gym chain in Connecticut that’s set up so no matter what your goal is you can do it. They give you free training sessions to start you off, have awesome classes going on all day, and have even set up the gym so you’re always working out with people at your same level. I love them so much! I really owe them everything.
My Fitness Pal - sign up at myfitnesspal.com (after that, you can also find it in the iPhone store or Droid marketplace) and start counting calories! Counting calories is pretty awful, but it’s soooo important and MFP makes it really, really easy. Stick with it for a week and I promise it’ll become a habit.
Girl Talk - Get their latest album All Day (or the one before that, Night Ripper) and you’ll see what I mean. Perfect workout music. If you haven’t heard them before you’re gonna be like “yeah whatever everyone has their thing” but TRUST ME it’s perfect. AND as a bonus - if you work out to the tempo of the song you’ll have perfectly timed bursts and cool-downs throughout your cardio routine.
Lemons and Cucumbers - I actually think water is really boring! But it’s soooo necessary I throw either of these into a clear glass of the go stuff and BAM! It’s awesome tasting.
Nike Free Tr Luxe - I sincerely believe this is the best shoe ever made. I run, lift, walk dogs, hike, to resistance training… they’re pretty much perfect for everything, SUPER light and very flexible. Everything else just feels clunky now. (Just don’t get them wet! Water comes right in which isn’t a huge problem unless you’re running to the store or something.)
